Exploring iPhone 15 Pro Design: Changes and Innovations

Apple will likely unveil its new iPhone 15 lineup in September. This event is typically held either on the 12th or 13th of that month.

A brand new 3D render features thinner bezels, and curved edges on the Pro models. In addition, the phone is expected to feature Dynamic Island upgrades that will allow more information to be shown all at once.

Leaks

The 2023 iPhone 15 Pro is likely to offer a significant improvement over its predecessor which is likely to have the latest periscope camera and the most recent A17 Bionic chip. Additionally, in addition to these features the iPhone 15 Pro is expected to have a 120Hz refresh rate, which will improve scrolling performance and enhanced responsiveness.

Another rumor suggests that Apple might replace the physical power and volume buttons with haptic, solid state buttons, similar like the button for Home. These buttons would use vibrations that simulate what it’s like to press a physical button, but they’d last longer and energy-efficient than their physical counterparts.

Other rumors suggest that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will get an enormous camera bump as well as new buttons as well being USB-C compatible and having thinner bezels. The latest report by 9to5Mac, based on renderings of CAD from a case manufacturer, shows that the Pro models will have one volume buttons and a separate toggle for mute.

Operating system

Apple is expected to maintain it’s 6.1-inch OLED display and its 120Hz refresh rate that is extremely popular (including for Tom’s Guide staff). The ProMotion feature is also expected to stay.

Another possible change would be that the iPhone will switch to USB-C charging. This should help Apple adhere to current European regulations. Also, it is possible that the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max could include a peristoscope lens, which will give you a higher optical zoom.

It is expected that the iPhone 15 Pro will probably have a 3nm A-series processor and will help improve processing speed and lower energy consumption. Also, it may get Bluetooth 5.3 as well as the next-generation Ultra Wide Band chip, that can improve the compatibility for it’s Apple Vision Pro headset.

Apple could add an action button that could be used for several functions, such as turning on Silent Mode and launching the Camera application. It’s unclear whether this button will take the place of physical buttons, or if it’ll employ tactile feedback instead.

Camera

In the midst of all the upgrades Apple will bring to its ip 15 pro lineup this year, the most interesting ones will be the cameras. Rumors have it that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will be the only model to get a periscope camera offering superior optical zooming capabilities that you get on regular phones using an optical prism or mirror that can increase the focal length without taking up too much area.

Another possible improvement for the iPhone 15 Pro’s camera could be a triple-stacked camera that enhances image quality and decrease distortion. This technology was used in a number of Android phones, but isn’t currently available for any iPhones.

It’s also rumored that the iPhone 15 Pro will move towards USB-C. This should aid in data transfer speeds and also allow faster charging. This is a major issue for those who use phones as cameras both for working and playing.

User experience

Apple’s new iPhone 15 Pro models are likely to have slimmer edges and bezels that are rounded. The models will also feature USB-C ports, which is different from prior iPhone models which had Lightning ports. In addition, they will be equipped with a smaller and more robust A17 chip. The improvements will help those iPhone 15 Pro models look much like the non-Pro models.

Another significant change is a different location for the power button. Prior to this, the power button was situated below on the left side of volume controls. New design moves the power button towards the volume button, which makes it simpler to reach and use.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max is likely to also come with a new periscope lens that will provide up to 6x optical zoom. This is a major advancement over the existing iPhone camera, which can only zoom digitally. This new iPhone 15 Pro will also feature a brand new camera that will enhance performance even in low light conditions. Additionally, it will have features that will reduce the video and photo noise.
